But Internet traffic has been quite effectively re-routed through other cables. VSNL &amp; FLAG own about 40% of world&#039;s undersea bandwith. There is far more redunancy in India than in some of the South east asian countries where cable snaps resulted in Internet blackouts.

Also, since Sri Lanka also relies on SEMEWE4 if acconts of massive disruptions were true, you folks wouldn&#039;t have Internet access either.</description>
