CD is a Research Fellow at LIRNEasia while running his own startup, Conscient AI. Previously he was a full time researcher on the Big Data for Development (BD4D) team at LIRNEasia. His areas of interest include machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing.
He previously worked as a Software Engineer at WSO2 focusing on technologies related to machine learning. He holds a bachelor’s (special) degree in Computer Science from University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a bachelor’s (external) degree in Information Technology from University of Colombo. He is the founding organizer of Colombo Machine Intelligence Meetup.
