Danaja Maldeniya

Research Fellow

Danaja is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Michigan’s School of Information. Previously he was a Senior Researcher in the Big Data team at LIRNEasia and continues to be involved as a Research Fellow.  While at LIRNEasia his areas of research were primarily in identifying human mobility patterns and developing transport forecasting models using mobile network big data. His interests include machine learning, visual analytics and social network analysis.

He previously worked as a Software Engineer at a leading IT company in Sri Lanka.

He holds a BSc. in Computer Science & Engineering with First Class distinction, from University of Moratuwa .
