Malinga Ratwatte

Research Fellow

Dr Malinga Ratwatte is an Emergency Medicine doctor based in North London, UK. He completed his BA at Christ’s College, University of Cambridge, with a Part II specialisation in Microbiology & Parasitology and the Dynamics of Infectious Diseases. He subsequently completed his clinical medical training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and internship at Hinchingbrooke and Royal Papworth Hospitals, with rotations in Acute Medicine, General Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Emergency Medicine.

Malinga holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge and was previously Academic Supervisor in Epidemiology at Christ’s College as well as Associate Clinical Supervisor to final year medical students at the Cambridge University School of Clinical Medicine. Malinga’s research interests include Health Policy and Health Data Science and he is a Research Fellow at LIRNEasia, bringing clinical medical and epidemiological expertise to the team.
