Gayani currently manages LIRNEasia’s work in Myanmar, and was involved in the fieldwork and analysis of quantitative data from a nationally representative survey on ICT use and information needs in Myanmar. Some other activities she has undertaken include the coordination of courses on e-government for members of Union and Regional Parliament.
She is also managing a qualitative study on Internet use in India, focusing on local behaviors to optimize consumption and earned reward applications. Previously, she managed LIRNEasia’s work in systematic reviews.
Gayani holds a BSc in Economics with First Class (Honours) from the London School of Economics and Political Science via the University of London International Programmes and holds a Diploma in Economics with a Distinction from the same.
