Jeeva Perumalpillai-Essex served as a member of the Board of Directors of LIRNEasia from 19 July 2019 to 5 January 2026.
She has thirty-eight years experience as a Development Economist addressing issues of poverty and developing sustainable programs in South Asia, East Asia, the Pacific, and Africa. She has worked with Multilateral Financial Institutions (Asian Development Bank and the World Bank Group), UN and the Government of Sri Lanka. Jeeva currently advises on strategy, programs and projects for sustainable development in Sri Lanka and internationally.
