Samadhi joined LIRNEasia in February 2026 as a Communications Intern, where she contributes to the organization’s efforts to translate research into actionable insights and amplify evidence-based policy discussions across the Asia-Pacific region. She supports content development, knowledge dissemination, and digital communications, helping LIRNEasia reach diverse audiences effectively.
Prior to joining LIRNEasia, she was actively involved in media literacy, fact-checking, and youth-led civic initiatives. She has coordinated programs aimed at countering misinformation, promoting responsible media engagement, and fostering informed public participation. Her experience combines research support, content strategy, and digital communications, reflecting a keen interest in the intersection of technology, governance, and society.
Samadhi has conducted research on digitalized policy formulation and digital diplomacy in Sri Lanka, demonstrating her commitment to understanding how technology and policy shape social and civic systems.
She holds a Diploma in International Relations and a Diploma in Software Engineering and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science, as well as a degree in English Language and Linguistics, at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
