Upul Sanjaya is a banker by profession. He obtained a BA special degree in sociology from university of Ruhuna and won the gold medal as the top of the 2011 sociology special batch. He completed the MA degree in sociology at the University of Colombo. He has authored several articles regarding the digital divide, the middle income trap, financial literacy, disability rights and globalization.
