Faheem Hussain, PhD,  worked at LIRNEasia as an research fellow for Bangladesh. He is an Assistant Professor of ICT and Computer Science at the Asian University for Women (AUW), Bangladesh.

Faheem Hussain, PhD,  worked at LIRNEasia as an research fellow for Bangladesh. He is an Assistant Professor of ICT and Computer Science at the Asian University for Women (AUW), Bangladesh.  He obtained his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the Department of Engineering & Public Policy, with a focus on technology and development in the South Asian region. His research interests are in information and communication technology for development (ICTD), telecommunication policy and management and new media. At LIRNEasia, he leads research on measuring telecom sector and regulatory performance in Bangladesh.
Dr. Hussain’s other research interests include ICT and climate change, gender empowerment using ICT, eHealth, and eGovernance. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Community Informatics (JoCI) and also the Managing Director of iStrategy Ltd. (a technology consulting firm).
