Roshanthi was a Research Manager at LIRNEasia. She managed the Ford Foundation Funded project on ‘facilitating policy discourse on increasing broadband access by the poor in India’. Her work entailed organization of Expert Forums which are attended by many senior telecommunication regulatory officials, residential courses to enable Indian civil-society to marshal available research for effective participation in broadband policy and regulatory processes, and creating an archive of relevant research and documentation.She holds a MBA from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK and a BSc. Eng (Hons) specializing in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
Roshanthi is currently a Senior Business Consultant at Stax, global strategy consulting firm.

Roshanthi was the Bangladesh country telecom expert in the IDRC funded project “Inclusion in the information society in Asia” where she conducted research on customer lifecycle management practices in telecommunication sector through both desk research and interviews with key stakeholders. She also conducted a Telecom Sector Review of Myanmar and studied the National Broadband Network of Malaysia.
Before joining LIRNEasia, Roshanthi worked at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Geneva, Switzerland as a Strategic Information Officer where she developed methods to measure the performance of their grants. Prior to that, she worked as a telecom project manager at Dialog Telecom, and Suntel Ltd in Sri Lanka.
