Joseph Wilson, Ph.D., is a member of the newly established Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and Associate Professor of Law & Policy at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan. His research and teaching interests include Air & Space Law, Antitrust/Competition Law, Corporate Governance, International Trade, Mergers & Acquisitions, Secured Transactions, Public Utilities and Telecommunications Regulation. He has also taught at the McGill Faculty of Law. While pursuing graduate legal studies, Joseph initially worked as a research associate and later held administrative positions with the McGill University’s Centre for the Study of Regulated Industries (CSRI) where he conducted research and prepared reports on the regulatory framework of different countries governing electricity, telecommunications and aero-space industries, and administered the Indian Telecom Linkages Project – sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency – for three years; the project set up a Centre for Telecommunications Policy Studies at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. Joseph is also a member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association. He has presented at various international conferences, and published in international law journals.

With LIRNEasia, Joseph was involved with the multi-component six country study on measuring telecom sector and regulatory performance and was lead researcher for the Pakistan country study.
